Out of Hours Service

Summerfield Urgent Care Centre is open daily from 08:00 till 20:00 for non serious emergencies and is happy to accept walk-in patients.

Between 18:30 and 08:00 Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and on bank holidays your call will be redirected to the NHS 111 service.

When to use NHS 111:

• You need medical help fast but it is not a 999 emergency
• You think you need to go to A&E or need another NHS urgent care service
• You don’t know who to call or you don’t have a GP to call
• You need health information about what to do next

For less urgent health needs contact your GP when they are next open or visit your local pharmacy.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999 and ask for an ambulance.
Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute as an emergency.

Extended Care Service

Practices are working in partnership to provide additional GP appointments between 18:30 and 20:00 during the week and also over the weekend during 09:00 and 11:00. If you need access to an evening or weekend non-urgent appointment, please call and speak to the receptionist at your registered practice during normal opening hours. Your appointment could be with another practice in the area and may not be at your registered practice.
