Patient Participation Group

Handsworth Medical Practice is in the process of establishing a Patient Participation Group (PPG) to gain the views of our registered patients and ensure they are involved in decisions about the range and quality of the services provided by our practice.

Virtual PPG

Don’t have time to come to meetings? Do you have ideas about how to improve the practice? Then join our Virtual Patient Participation Group.

The Virtual Patient Group (VPG) is a collection of patients at a surgery who have an interest in the services provided. VPG cross barriers, embrace diversity and work in partnership with the surgery to improve common understanding and help identify new services to meet patients’ needs. In order to get the most out of our practice we want to create a safe, friendly outlet for helpful, constructive. We have developed some terms of reference to help us achieve this goal.

Recognising our patients are busy with day to day life, and may not be available to attend the surgery for formal meetings and with the pandemic bringing so many changes to our way of life the practice have developed a virtual Patient Participation Group. This group is in place for our patients to make positive suggestions on improving the healthcare services and facilities we provide to you. To join you must be 18 years or over, and be registered with our surgery.

Our PPG is run virtually via our website where you can contact us with your ideas and suggestions for improvement. Additionally we may ask you from time to time to take part in our online surveys allowing us to seek your opinion on various topics.
